I watched Lucky Strike and it feels like a tense war movie from the start. The story follows a wounded American soldier who gets stuck behind German lines during battle. He has to stay calm and find a way to survive while the fighting gets closer. However the movie does not focus on action. It also shows the pressure a soldier faces when he has no safe place to hide. Meanwhile the cold setting makes everything feel serious and lonely. He looks tired but he keep pushing forward because giving up is not an option. Also the movie keeps some details hidden so you keep wondering who can be trusted. After that the danger feels more personal and the quiet moments become just as tense as the battle scenes. I liked how the movie keeps the mystery alive without showing everything.
